What is Biblical Fellowship?
From the Greek koinonia, we get the word fellowship. Koinonia, which means "keeping something in common," is referenced 20 times throughout the New Testament (e.g., Phil. 2:1-2, Acts 2:42, 1 John 1:6-7). Koinonia is the spiritual harmony that develops when Christians share values and practices. Real koinonia (biblical fellowship) develops when these conditions are met. As a result of our friendship with one another, we are better able to work together to honor God, do God's work, and fulfill God's purpose in the world.
